Dawg Wash Day

I figure a dog needs to be washed a couple times each summer whether he or she needs it or not!  So today, Labor Day, was designated a wash day for the pups.  I don’t know how long this “clean” will last, but it was due.  So enjoy the pictures of the wet ones!  Good thing they’re Water Dogs!

Baby Dog (Moxie) was first.  Docker was nervous about this because he usually goes first.  He was circling around trying to decide if he should jump in too.

Good thing we have whitening shampoo!

Docker got his chance!

Docker wanted to be lifted off the tub but dad made him jump down and walk to the deck for drying time.

Since they were good, they were promised treats after the bath.  This is the anxious wait for dad to return from the garage with a bite of something awesome!  They hung out on the deck until they were dry and then they tore around like crazy dogs!!  It’s always interesting!

Clean & howlingly happy Dawgs!!

Ice Cream Dog Delight

A week or two ago I was reading my friend Sue's Blog and she'd posted a recipe to make homemade Frosty Paws, that dog ice cream that you can buy in the grocery store for more money than Ben & Jerry's!  She'd gotten the recipe from a cookbook.  Go over there and read all about it.  Her blog is one of my favorites as she always has such good pictures of her Water Dog herd!

So, I made the "ice cream" in the morning and by the afternoon it was good n' ready!  The doggies had a wonderful treat and even got to eat from my good dishes!  (Recorded on my iPhone 4)

H2O Dawgs are back!

Hi all, it’s been a long while since I’ve posted on this site as I’ve been, ahem, distracted by my dieting ups and downs.  So, I’m resurrecting the Water Dawg blog for…well, the dogs!  They’re still here and still cute and still keeping us both entertained and busy, so we’re sharing the puppy love!  Save us in your reader to see what’s going on in our canine world!

Lotsa hosing happening around here!
